Joan was just 23 years old when “The Joan Baez Songbook” was published with the description “Sixty-six songs comprising the repertoire of America’s best-loved folksinger with historical musical annotations arranged for piano/vocal with chords symbols.” This profile was on the cover. 23 years old and “already a legend,” as she would later write about Bob Dylan in her song, “Diamonds and Rust.”
